ABOUT US

Ogwehoweh Skills and Trades Training Centre: Longhouse

Ganǫsa’ǫ: weh was established in 2014.

As Culture and Ecotourism grows within the Six Nations of the Grand River and surrounding communities Ogwehohweh Skills and Trades Training Centre (OSTTC) is working hard to raise awareness of our rich Haudenosaunee heritage. We have worked towards this effort by creating our site as ongoing cultural and ecotourism development.

Come to learn the Haudenosaunee history and culture by visiting our 17th Century full sized replica Longhouse - Ganǫsa’ǫ: weh and our ecological restoration efforts at the Kayanase Greenhouse!

Our longhouse today is used for education and teaching not only our people but also our visitors to Six Nations, to provide an exceptional cultural experience that increases their understanding and appreciation for Six Nations’ and Haudenosaunee natural resources, society, history, a safe place to learn and culture.

VISITOR REVIEWS

I went with my partner and our Neice and Nephew (grades 5 and 4). We all really enjoyed this tour! It gives you so much knowledge and engaged the kids as well. We had fun attempting friction fires too!
We weren't even finished the tour when my nephew asked "When can we come back?".
